This may be the most straight forward recipe on my blog so far. But the internet has a recipe for cut pineapple from Rachael Ray so there is a reader for everything. My mom used to always buy those premade garlic breads from the grocery store and this is a pretty good match taste wise. Serve it alongside a big old bowl of vegetarian spaghetti and meatballs or in a lasagna sandwich. You know what I mean Paula Deen fans. (Second Food Network reference in 5 sentences, if you are counting)
1 small, half size baguette (most are vegan, the one I used was from Ace Bakery)
1/4 c. vegan margarine
1 large garlic clove, minced
1 tbsp. dried parsley
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Mix the margarine, minced garlic and dried parsley in a small bowl.
Cut the bread into 1 inch slices without cutting all the way through. Spread the garlic butter in between the slices.
Wrap the loaf in foil and bake in the middle of the oven for 15 minutes. Open the foil and bake for 5 minutes more.
